Ohio University implemented the Stripe Solution within Slate for the Spring 2026 term and it has helped us prevent fraudulent applications. Here is a link to our student facing website: https://www.ohio.edu/registrar/identity-verification
I will say that this isn't a silver bullet and we are still working on formalizing our broader fraudulent application processes but it was helpful. It was easy to set up as well and the students mostly didn't have any issues with it.
