Now that NACHA's expanded fraud monitoring rules apply to all ACH originators regardless of volume, I'm curious how other Banner/TouchNet schools are handling the compliance lift.
Are most of you leaning on TouchNet to handle the risk-based behavior monitoring and account validation for student e-checks, or are you implementing internal policy updates/custom Banner alerts to flag suspicious velocity patterns and sudden bank account changes?
Specifically, what documentation are you preparing to show auditors that we are actively monitoring for "false pretenses" fraud on outgoing student refunds? Any insight on your setup would be greatly appreciated!
