Hi! I am brand new to NACUBO. As a CPA, one of the things I'm interested in is continuing professional education. What would others recommend from the offerings that NACUBO has? Thanks!

I recommend the HEAF conference that is usually held in the spring.

While a lot depends on your role an what type of CE your seeking, I have found all of the educational offerings by NACUBO to be of solid quality and relevant. The Higher Education Accounting Forum (HEAF) is very good and usually I have 1-2 staff directly involved with financial reporting attend annually. Our budget office staff attend the annual budget conference and have always spoken highly about it, but it is geared more directly to their area of  responsibility. The Annual Meeting has great offerings but is close to fiscal year end, so that may or may not work.

In the end you can't go wrong with any of their offerings and you also have your regional ACUBO that has additional CE offerings.

I have really appreciated the Higher Education Accounting Forum (HEAF). I believe it is in Boston next April. There are also subject area conferences, including a Tax Forum.
