As part of its ongoing work to monitor significant issues affecting chief business officers, the NACUBO Board of Directors has established this new special-interest community to allow member CBOs and their teams to share issues, concerns, questions and ideas regarding the many financial issues impacting athletics. We realize that, given the broad diversity of NACUBO members – which includes large public and private research universities to liberal arts and community colleges – no single forum can adequately capture every topic or detail. Still, we hope this is the start of the lively forum that will allow you to safely share your ideas and questions with peers.
The NACUBO Board Ad-Hoc Committee on Intercollegiate Athletics is the driving force behind this work. This committee is co-chaired by Mike Volna, vice president for finance and assistant CFO at the University of Minnesota; and Brett Sweet, vice chancellor for finance, information technology and CFO at Vanderbilt University. NACUBO Senior Vice President Tim McDonough will help facilitate this community, which is open only to our institutional members. We hope you enjoy the conversation.
